Fresh Start Ministries

In Orlando’s College Park neighborhood, Fresh Start Ministries exists for the men who have tried to muscle through addiction alone and for the families and loved ones who often take the first step toward help. Since 1986, this ministry has offered a faith-based, year-long residential program designed to help men break the cycle of substance abuse and other life-controlling issues through structure, community, and spiritual renewal.

Fresh Start’s mission is simple and steady: lead men out of addiction into lasting freedom and transformation, rooted in a Christ-centered model of accountability, healing, and hope.

Brand Strategy

We partnered with Fresh Start’s team to align on the goals of the refresh and define what success should look like, then grounded the work through a brand and audience strategy workshop. Together, we clarified the website’s three primary audiences—Families & Loved Ones, Men Seeking Help, and Donors/Partners—and what each needs most the moment they arrive. Families arrive looking for clarity, reassurance, and something that feels safe and credible. The families need a clear understanding of what the one-year program requires, what daily life looks like, and what the commitment truly involves. Those who support the mission need a simple, low-friction path to give, volunteer, or partner. Across all audiences, the brand needed to show up as calm, modern, and caring, grounded in a sense of earned trust.

Visual language

A calming, water-inspired palette drawn from Fresh Start’s Florida setting pairs with modern typography to create a, caring, and trustworthy feel.

Typography:  Fresh Start Ministires leads with Bricolage Grotesk for headlines to bring a modern, confident voice with just enough warmth, and Familjen Grotesk for body copy to keep the experience calm, caring, and highly readable.
